Towel Bars Versus Towel Rings
April 23, 2009
While some of the choice between towel bars or towel rings in the bathroom comes down to personal preference, towel bars do have one distinct advantage. With a towel bar, provided the towel isn’t bunched up in one corner, the towel itself will dry out much faster because the fabric has more exposure to the air. With a towel ring, the towel will be all bunched up when hung and it will take it longer for it to dry out (especially the bunched up part that touches the ring itself). You might find that hand towels are better suited for a towel ring (because they aren’t saturated with as much water), and bath towels are better suited for a towel bar. However, certain towel rings might be wide enough to spread out a bath towel and allow it to dry. When it comes down to it, the choice really is based on personal preference, but for people who bathe daily or even twice daily, a towel bar might be a better choice for your bath towel. There’s nothing worse than trying to dry off with a bath towel that’s already a little bit wet!
