Door handles and the talented blacksmith
March 4, 2009
If it wasn’t for the dedicated blacksmith, door handles like the one above wouldn’t show the unique detail that this one has and wouldn’t even exist. Can you imagine the amount of time that it took to create this beautiful piece of wrought iron decorative hardware, with it’s spiral shaped handles and the breathtaking rust colored finish!
Take a little time from your busy lifestyle and go visit your local blacksmith for a couple of hours just to see for yourself what it takes to handcraft such a marvelous piece of iron art! We often think of blacksmithing as a thing of the past, but to this day there are still a couple of hardworking talented blacksmiths that keep this long forgotten trade alive.
