My New Door
January 12, 2009
Last night my dogs finally destroyed my door. They have no manners at all. Every time they want to get in the house they jump and scratch at the door. Of course I always let them in when they do this because I do not want them to destroy the door. Well last night my husband had the bright idea that we would just ignore them, in an effort to train them that when they bang on the door they can not come in. I could not believe it when they knocked the door down. Not only did they knock the door down but they also tore it apart by biting and scratching it.
The next day me and my husband started shopping for a new door. After dragging my husband around town all day we finally found the perfect door at our local door store. It was large and metal. We installed it with nine five inch wood screws, and to make sure the dogs could not scratch this one up we installed a large steel kick plate and a sturty steel door knob complete with a deadbolt. There is no way these dogs are taking down this door.
