There are a variety of drawer pulls that can add new life to any room or piece of furniture.  First of all their are many different types of drawer pulls out there.  The type of drawer pull that you choose should depend on the style of furniture or room that you have.  For instance,  rustic metal drawer pulls would look best with mountain hardware which will give your room a country look.  There are some creative types out there that can use drawer pulls to reflect their personality.  For example, you could buy a plain colored drawer pull and paint it blue with green polka dots.

I have a great toilet paper holder.  There are several reasons why my toilet paper holder is so great. First of all my toilet paper holder is dependable.  I have had many of instances where I was particularly thankful that my bathroom accessories are very sturdy, and can withstand a strong grip.  Second, they are very fashionable. The latest craze is the bright varieties that really catch the attention.  Lime green and bright pink can be very fun.  Last, they are very useful.  Bathroom accessories such as towel bars, towel rings, and robe hooks are very handy to have when it comes to using your favorite bathroom.

Many people do not like my toilet paper holder.  They think that it is too flashy for there taste.  These people tend to be less fun in my opinion.  Regardless, everyone deserves their own opinion, so before you judge my toilet paper holder  you should first judge your toilet paper holder.

You might think that there’s nothing special about a paper towel holder, and if your into buying the generic type that looks like a flimsy piece of tin hanging on your wall, then there isn’t.  So lets change the way you look at certain types of decorative hardware when it comes to your kitchen or bathroom, by not creating the stereo-type most folks label as ” it’s just another ” one of those common everyday items.

Just take a look at that hand wrought black iron beauty in the picture above and maybe you can see why it needs to be shown off!  Other types of decorative hardware items that should be given more attention to are toilet paper holders, robe hooks, towel rings, switch-plate covers and strap hinges.  So remember that even the so-called ” lowliest ” of bathroom accessories and kitchen cabinet hardware can and should become the shining star on any household wall or cabinet!

When it comes down to choosing some new restoration hardware, maybe you might want to consider a different style and design.  So what your home looks like from either it’s exterior or interior side, will help you along when trying to change your decorative hardwares style. 

Does your homes exterior have that Southwestern appearance, with the walls finished with a swirled stucco, or does your roof have those reddish colored clay tiles on it?  Maybe you love the Mexican or Native American Indian cultured look that you’ve decorated your homes interior with?

So why not try some decorative hardware with that wrought iron rustic beauty when it’s time to replace your old restoration hardware, then your home will stand out like a saguaro cactus against a beautiful sunset!

How much time does your husband spend in the bathroom probably reading his favorite fishing magazines?  Is fishing all he thinks or talks about most of the time, and when he accumulates enough vacation time from work, you know you’ll eventually end up on some remote mountain lake baking in the hot sun for days on end?

You love him right?  Then ladies, why not support this strange uniqueness that is part of his boyhood and treat him with those special kind of bathroom accessories that are dear to his fondness for the passion of fishing?  How about a toilet paper holder that looks like a fishing reel, or a jumping fish robe hook that almost swims off the wall?  Remember, decorative hardware comes in all styles and designs that will keep your man that happy little boy every-time he visits the bathroom!

If you feel unsafe or maybe your credit rating isn’t up to the banks standards, instead of purchasing a new home, why not use a home equity loan to upgrade or remodel your existing one?  You would be surprised what you could do with lets say 60 or 70 thousand dollars when applying it to improve your old domicile.

Just to list a few examples of what kind of improvements that would enhance your to-be- remodeled home, how about new carpets for flooring or paint on those dirty walls?  Maybe a new set of kitchen cabinets with some new cabinet hardware, or replacing all the old woodwork with some new interior doors?  Why even a unique toilet paper holder installed next to the throne?  Decorative hardware such as those just mentioned can really change the way your remodel job looks when it’s finished and should always be considered before that trip to your loan officer!

Your door hardware should stand out on your doors like this ship sailing on the sea!  One can spend literally thousands of dollars on the interior doors of ones home, and then install some cheap brassy looking decorative door hardware just because it happens to be the trend of the times.

Whatever!  So lets give those expensive beautiful wood doors an upgraded look instead of that common nonchalant decorative hardware that everyone else uses.  Maybe try the hand wrought black iron style and design that has a very unique and country charm to it, or some ceramic decorative door hardware that was artistically hand painted.

Whatever door hardware you choose, take some time to look around and your end product will be the one that comes in 1st. place!

Don’t forget about your husband ladies when you decide to surprise him with some unique drawer pulls that maybe he could use in his shop.  Maybe he’s one of those guys who just loves that great sport of hunting, so think of some creative decorative hardware that would captivate that theme.

 Now I would like to tell you a brief story about a beautiful young woman who was plagued by a plain boring paper towel holder.  She had just moved into her first apartment.  When she realized that her paper towels were getting wet on her kitchen counter she decided to drive down to some local department stores to look for a paper towel holder.  She looked all over town, and eventually settled with a cream colored ceramic holder.  Days went by, and every time she went into her kitchen her heart was filled with great sorrow; her paper towel holder made her sad.  That day she went down to an arts and crafts store.  She bought shiny blue acrylic paint and gold glitter.  When she got home she painted her paper towel holder and poured the glitter all over it.  From that day on she was filled with joy; she was now proud to say that the paper towel holder on her kitchen counter was hers.
